Price comparison: India vs Poland vs UK
Every rupee figure on this page is an indicative cost at our Vaishali, Ghaziabad clinic — international patients pay the same clinical prices as local patients, with travel and stay itemised separately. Your final quote is confirmed only after Dr. Bandhavi reviews your records and X-rays. Polish prices are typical published ranges from clinics in Kraków, Warsaw and Wrocław and vary by clinic.
Where Poland genuinely wins
Be honest about this first. If you need one or two crowns, a small amount of cosmetic work, or a single implant and you live in the UK or Western Europe, Poland is hard to beat: a $45 budget flight, no visa, the same time zone, EU-regulated clinics and a treatment that fits in a long weekend. The saving against UK private prices is real — typically 50–60 per cent — and the travel is trivial. For that patient, flying eight and a half hours to Delhi to save a further $230 does not make sense, and we will say so.
Where India pulls ahead
The calculation flips as the treatment grows. On a single implant India saves you $700–$1,300 against Poland — roughly the cost of the return flight, so it is a wash. On four implants the saving is $2,900–$5,250. On an All-on-4 arch it is $2,350–$4,650; on both arches, $4,650–$9,300. At that scale the longer flight and a comfortable hotel for ten days are a small fraction of what you keep. The clinical price is the same for a patient from Vaishali and a patient from Vienna: there is no international mark-up, only itemised travel on top.
Poland
- 2–3 hour flight from most of Europe, no visa for EU/UK
- Implant with crown $1,050–$1,750
- EU device regulation, familiar consumer protections
- Best for: 1–2 crowns, a single implant, a long weekend
India (Delhi-NCR)
- Implant with crown ₹30,000 (≈$300); All-on-4 from ₹3.5 lakh
- Same clinical price as local patients — no tourist mark-up
- English-speaking care, MDS-qualified dentist, Dental Council registered
- Best for: multiple implants, full-arch and full-mouth work
A worked example: full-arch All-on-4 from the UK
Quality, safety and the questions to ask both
Good Polish clinics and good Indian clinics use the same implant systems — Straumann, Nobel Biocare and Osstem are common in both — and the same digital planning. The variation is between clinics, not countries. Whichever you choose, ask for the implant brand and model in writing, a CBCT scan before any firm quote, the operating dentist’s name and registration number, and the written warranty terms. Our nine-point implant dentist checklist works in Kraków as well as it does in Vaishali.
Dr. Bandhavi, MDS (Endodontics), is registered with the Delhi Dental Council (Reg. A-15692) — check any clinic you compare the same way.
Practicalities: visas, time and follow-up
UK and EU passport holders need an Indian e-visa, applied for online in about 20 minutes and usually issued within three to four days; Poland needs nothing. India is 4.5 hours ahead of London; Poland is one. Implants in either country need the same healing biology, so a two-trip plan for larger cases is identical in both. Where India adds something is remote follow-up: X-ray review over WhatsApp and a full record set for your home dentist are standard for our international patients, because we assume you will not pop back for a check.
Frequently asked questions
Is dental treatment cheaper in India or Poland?
India is cheaper on every major treatment: an implant with crown is about $380 in India against $1,050-$1,750 in Poland, and an All-on-4 arch about $4,550-$5,800 against $7,000-$10,450. Poland’s advantage is a 2-3 hour flight, which matters more for small treatments than large ones.
When is Poland the better choice than India?
For one or two crowns, a single implant or minor cosmetic work if you live in the UK or Europe. The saving against India is smaller than the cost and time of the long-haul flight, so Poland’s short trip wins.
When is India the better choice than Poland?
For multiple implants, All-on-4 or All-on-6, and full mouth rehabilitation. The saving against Poland is $2,350-$9,300 depending on the plan, which covers the flight and a comfortable stay several times over.
Are Indian dental clinics as safe as Polish ones?
Good clinics in both countries use the same implant systems, sterilisation standards and digital planning. Safety varies by clinic, not country. Check the dentist’s registration, the implant brand in writing, CBCT before quoting and written warranty terms wherever you go.
Do I need a visa for dental treatment in India?
UK and EU citizens need an Indian e-visa, applied for online and usually issued within 3-4 working days. Poland requires no visa for UK or EU citizens.
How long do I need to stay in India for implants?
About 7-10 days for the placement trip, and a second trip of 5-7 days for the final teeth after 3-6 months of healing. The same two-stage timeline applies in Poland – it is biology, not geography.
