Root canal and crown cost: India vs the UAE
Root canal treatment (RCT) removes infected pulp from inside the tooth; the crown that goes over it afterwards protects it from fracturing. Most dentists recommend both together for back teeth. Prices below are per tooth, in the UAE and in India.
What is included — and single-sitting RCT
Most straightforward root canals are now completed in a single sitting at Tooth Simplified using rotary instruments and an intraoral X-ray to confirm the canal is fully cleaned — you don’t need to fly back mid-treatment. The crown is fitted a few days later once a temporary filling has settled.

Frequently asked questions
Do I really need a crown after a root canal?
For back teeth, almost always — a root-treated tooth is brittle and can fracture without a crown. Some front teeth manage with a strong filling, but your dentist will advise based on how much tooth remains.
Is a root canal painful?
Modern root canals are done under effective local anaesthetic and are usually no more uncomfortable than a filling. Most of the pain people fear is actually the infection beforehand, which the treatment relieves.
Can it be done in one visit?
Often, yes. Many root canals are completed in a single sitting with rotary instruments; the crown is then fitted separately, sometimes a few days later once the tooth has settled.
Which crown is best?
For back teeth, PFM or zirconia; for visible front teeth, zirconia or E-max for the most natural look. It is a balance of strength, appearance and budget.
Is a root canal done in India safe for a patient flying in from the UAE?
At an accredited clinic, yes. Check the dentist’s registration (Dr. Bandhavi is registered A-15692 with the Delhi Dental Council), ask which crown material is used, and confirm sterilisation protocol before you book.
How long will it last?
A well-done root canal with a good crown can last 10–20 years or more with normal care and regular check-ups.
