Root Canal & Crown FAQs
Real success-rate data, honest Delhi-market pricing context, and the practical questions patients actually ask — from the endodontist-led clinic serving Vaishali and nearby NCR.
Root Canal From ₹3,000, Crown From ₹5,000
A root canal saves an infected tooth by removing the infected nerve tissue and sealing the canal; a crown then caps it so it survives normal chewing. Across published clinical data, root canal treatment succeeds in roughly 85-97% of cases — higher on simpler front teeth, lower on multi-canal molars. Prices below are indicative starting figures; Dr. Bandhavi confirms your exact cost after an X-ray, at no charge.
Root Canal Treatment
From ₹3,000 per tooth. Often finished in a single 45-90 minute sitting using rotary NiTi files and rubber-dam isolation.
Metal Crown
₹5,000. Very strong, best for back molars that don’t show, typically lasts 10-15+ years.
Zirconia Crown
₹8,000. Natural, tooth-coloured look for front teeth or premolars, similar 10-15 year lifespan.
Emergency Tooth Pain
Same-day appointments for severe pain — message us before you walk in.
How This Compares to the Wider Delhi-NCR Market
Root canal pricing across Delhi-NCR clinics commonly ranges from roughly ₹4,500 for a simple front tooth up to ₹11,000+ for a complex molar before any crown, with full molar-plus-crown packages often running ₹15,000-27,000 at other clinics. Our ₹3,000 starting price plus ₹5,000-8,000 crown sits at or below that range for comparable quality protocols — ask us what’s included if you’re comparing quotes.

Root Canal & Crown FAQs
How much does a root canal cost at Tooth Simplified in Vaishali?
Root canal treatment starts from ₹3,000 per tooth. The exact price depends on which tooth is affected (front teeth have 1 canal; molars can have 3-4) and how infected it is, so we confirm the final number only after Dr. Bandhavi examines the tooth and X-ray — this is an indicative starting price, not a quote.
How does your pricing compare to other clinics in Delhi-NCR?
Across the wider Delhi-NCR market, root canal pricing commonly runs ₹4,500-6,500 for a simple front tooth, ₹6,500-8,500 for a premolar, and ₹7,500-11,000+ for a molar — before any crown. A molar treated plus crowned often totals ₹15,000-27,000 elsewhere. Our starting prices sit at or below that band for the same quality protocols (rubber dam, rotary files, specialist-led treatment) — always ask a clinic what’s actually included before comparing headline numbers.
What’s the actual success rate of root canal treatment?
Published clinical data puts root canal success at roughly 85-97% overall. Simpler front teeth (single canal) succeed around 95-97% of the time; molars, with 3-4 curved canals, succeed roughly 85-90% of the time because they’re technically harder to fully clean and seal. A well-treated root canal, properly restored with a crown where needed, commonly lasts a lifetime.
How much does a crown cost after a root canal?
A metal crown is ₹5,000 and a natural-looking zirconia crown is ₹8,000. Most patients need a crown after a root canal on a back tooth (molar or premolar) because the tooth is more brittle once the nerve is removed — front teeth sometimes only need a filling instead.
Is root canal treatment actually painful?
No — this is the most common misconception. Dr. Bandhavi is an MDS Endodontist, and the procedure is done under local anaesthesia, so you shouldn’t feel pain during treatment. Most patients describe it as similar to getting a deep filling, with mild soreness for a day or two afterwards that responds to normal painkillers.
Can my root canal be finished in a single sitting?
Often, yes. Many root canals at our Vaishali clinic are completed in one visit of roughly 45-90 minutes, depending on the tooth and how badly infected it is. If there’s a large abscess or unusually curved canals, Dr. Bandhavi may recommend two visits to make sure the infection is fully cleared before sealing the tooth.
What quality protocols actually affect whether my root canal succeeds?
Rubber-dam isolation (keeping saliva and bacteria out of the tooth during treatment), rotary NiTi files (which clean curved canals more thoroughly than hand files), bioceramic sealers, and treatment by a specialist rather than a generalist are all linked in clinical literature to higher success rates. We use all of these as standard, not as an optional upgrade.
Metal crown or zirconia crown — which should I choose?
Metal crowns (₹5,000) are extremely strong and are a good, budget-friendly choice for back molars nobody sees when you smile. Zirconia crowns (₹8,000) look like a natural tooth and are what we recommend for premolars, front teeth, or if appearance matters to you — they’re also metal-free.
What happens if I ignore a root canal and don’t get it done?
The infection doesn’t go away on its own — it typically spreads into the bone around the root, which can cause a painful abscess, swelling, and eventually loss of the tooth. Delaying almost always makes treatment more complex (and sometimes more expensive) than treating it now.
I have severe tooth pain right now — can you see me today?
Yes. Dental pain is treated as a priority at our clinic. Message us on WhatsApp (92174 22917) or call, and we’ll do our best to fit you in the same day, even without a prior appointment.
Can antibiotics alone fix an infected tooth instead of a root canal?
No — antibiotics can calm swelling and infection temporarily, but they can’t reach or clean the infected nerve tissue inside the tooth. Without a root canal (or extraction), the infection typically returns once the antibiotic course ends. We sometimes prescribe a short course alongside treatment for significant swelling, not as a substitute for it.
Can I get a root canal done while pregnant?
Yes, root canal treatment is generally considered safe during pregnancy, especially in the second trimester, using local anaesthesia. Untreated dental infection carries its own risks, so delaying treatment isn’t automatically the safer option — tell us if you’re pregnant so we can plan timing and any medication accordingly.
Is it normal to still feel sensitivity weeks after a root canal?
Mild sensitivity to biting pressure for 1-2 weeks is common while surrounding tissue heals. Sensitivity that is severe, worsening, or lasting well beyond 2-3 weeks isn’t normal and should be checked — message us and we’ll assess whether it’s healing tenderness or something that needs attention.
Will my crown look like a real tooth?
A zirconia crown is shade-matched to your surrounding teeth and is very difficult to tell apart from a natural tooth, even up close. A metal crown will be visibly silver/gold-toned, which is why we generally reserve it for back teeth that don’t show when you smile or talk.
Do you need to see an X-ray before you can tell me a price?
Yes — the ₹3,000 root canal starting price and crown prices are indicative. An X-ray tells us exactly how many canals the tooth has and how much infection is present, which is what actually determines the final cost. We don’t charge for this assessment before quoting you.
Do you treat patients from Indirapuram, Vasundhara, Kaushambi or Noida?
Yes, regularly. Most of these areas are a 5-15 minute drive from our Sector 4, Vaishali clinic, and a large share of our root canal and crown patients travel in from these nearby NCR localities.
What if the pain comes back after my root canal — is that retreatment, or something worse?
A missed canal or new reinfection can usually be fixed with non-surgical retreatment (reopening and recleaning the tooth) which has a good success rate, though slightly lower than a first-time root canal. In rarer cases, a minor surgical procedure (apicoectomy) treats infection at the root tip from outside. We’ll X-ray first to tell you honestly which applies.
How do I book an appointment for a root canal or crown?
The fastest way is WhatsApp: message 92174 22917 with your symptom (or send a photo of the tooth if you have one) and we’ll suggest a time, usually within 24 hours. Walk-ins are also welcome any day we’re open, 10 AM-8 PM (9 AM on Mondays).
